Prada are an Italian fashion label specialising in high quality and luxury goods for both men and women, including leather accessories, shoes, luggage, hats, and sunglasses. Prada glasses (Prada Brillen) are a fairly recent addition to the Prada range, and have quickly become a popular product all over the world. The Prada brand has a long and rich history in the fashion industry, founded by Mario Prada back in 1913.
There are over 250 Prada boutiques around the world, with almost 3,000 employees and a growing range of fashion items and accessories being produced. Prada glasses are sold through Prada stores and third party retailers, as well as through the Prada website. Along with the production and sale of luxury fashion items and accessories, Prada has also branched out to include runway shows and even been involved in the branding of a mobile phone device.

Prada originally started in 1913, when it was founded by Mario Prada and his brother Martino. It was initially set up as a leathergoods retailer, selling leather luggage goods, handbags, and steamer trunks. It was not until the 1970s when the Prada brand made its ascent into the world of high fashion, after Miuccia Prada began making waterproof backpacks out of Pocone in 1978. Since this time, Prada has become increasingly involved in the production and sale of high quality and expensive fashion products, with a popular women’s ready-to-wear collection launched in 1989. The 1990s was a big time for Prada, and this was the time it became known as a premium status symbol brand. Some of the fashion items that have been sold by Prada since this time include women’s fashion products, accessories, luggage, and sunglasses.

Prada has reinvented itself once again in the 21st century, due to a company merger and a loose agreement with Azzedine Alaia. Along with the traditional Prada fashion items, they began selling skin care products in the United States, Japan, and Europe, along with a number of other accessory products. Today, Prada sunglasses and fashion accessories are available from hundreds of worldwide locations, where they remain one of the most powerful status symbols and brands that is associated with the modern fashion industry.
